SPECIFICATIONS: 1) Filmless
Printing: We do not accept
film as final material.
All ads must be provided
in a digital environment
(Macintosh format) Software:
QuarkXpress, Photoshop
and Illustrator. Presentation
software such as Publisher
and Powerpoint are not
usable and will not be
accepted. 2) Electronic
Files: To produce the high
quality which our publication
provides, all photography
and illustrations must
be scanned at no less than
300 dpi, saved and color-corrected
as CMYK files. Lineart
(black & white logos/art)
must be scanned at no less
than 1200 dpi. All fonts
and art must be provided
in a hi-res format. The
use of trouble-shooting
and collection software
such as FlightCheck is
recommended to prepare
the ad files, which should
be provided on CD or zip
disk. All art and/or camera-ready
ads provided via email
must be high-res (300 dpi);
if they are low-res (72
dpi), they must be large
enough that they can be
converted down to the correct
size and up to the correct
resolution. The publisher
is not responsible for
the color quality of incorrectly
produced files. 3) Proofs:
An IRIS print or hi-res
color proof must be provided
with all ads.
